Dare you ride the ‘Train of Fright’!?
Join us for a truly unique Halloween Fright Night Experience. Dress-up as witches, wizards and ghouls, or don your best Bride of Dracula or Beetlejuice costume. Lurk menacingly on the platform, then take our ‘ghost train’ through the Island’s deserted night time countryside, passing darkened woodland and desolate fields.
Take trip down to our colour-changing haunted Forest and Woodland Creep but stick to the paths and beware of the ghouls lurking behind those trees!
Our Train Story Visitor Centre will, once again, have you running for the exits. Linger a while with Myths Paranormal Team to hear of paranormal investigations and communication with those long since departed but whose earthly bonds keep them here with us, such as a loco driver who still dwells on the footplate and a former passenger still ‘travelling’ in one of our carriages.
Greg Chapman and Bloodstone will be entertaining us in the Station Yard in their own unique style.
This is a rare opportunity to visit Havenstreet Station at night and to take a night time steam train ride on the Railway, plus there's a menu of Halloween-themed meals in the Halloween Restaurant.
To round off the evening join us in dancing the Timewarp in the Refreshment Rooms where the bar will be open until 11pm.
GATES OPEN 5pm.
TRAIN TIMES: 5.15, 6.30, 7.45, 9pm.
Hot food will finish at 9pm but the BAR will be open until 11pm.
TRAIN STORY closes 9pm. If travelling on the 9pm train, please ensure you visit Train Story before travelling.
Myths Investigations are a Paranormal Team from the Isle of Wight who have been working closely alongside the Isle of Wight Steam Railway. With strange lights and ghostly shadows reported by Staff and Visitors alike the Team decided to investigate this darker side of the Railway!
Over the past 11 years the Myths team have investigated many of the UK’s Most Haunted locations including the Hellfire Caves and Edinburgh Vaults. Their respected and well established team have a passion for the UK's spooky history and ghostly tales. If it scares you.. they are on it!
During their time at the railway they have investigated and uncovered many stories, including the young girl that can sometimes be seen playing in the Train Story Museum, to the angry man in the train yard that just doesn't like visitors!
This Halloween the Railway will be opening its doors at night and the team will be on hand to share the information on their findings.
