The Train Story Discovery Centre is well signposted - just follow the route through the back of the Shop, through the Carriage and Wagon workshops and follow the path alongside the woodland area which affords great views of the loco and shunting yard.

Train Story is open as follows:
From the start of April to the end of September*:
On days when trains are operating: Opens 11am. Last Admission 4.30pm. Closes 5.00pm.
On days when trains are not operating: Opens 10.30. Last Admission 3.15pm. Closes 3.45pm.
In March, October and December:
On days when trains are operating: Opens 11am. Last Admission 4.30pm. Closes 5.00pm.
On days when trains are not operating: CLOSED

Accessible for wheelchair users. The route to Train Story is wheelchair and buggy friendly and the Train Story building has a disabled lift in the lobby area from the lower floor to the upper.
A disabled WC with baby changing facilities is also located is also located in the lobby area.
Please note that, despite published opening times for Operating and Non-Operating days, there may be a requirement to close the facility for the purposes of shunting. Please enquire about opening times when you arrive.
