Changing Train Story

Renaming of the rolling stock storage facility 'Changing Trains' is Announced

Train Story logo

Until now, the project name for the Railway’s new rolling stock storage, display and interpretation facility has been “Changing Trains”.  It was always our intention to use the name for both the experience and building that will be open to our visitors in spring 2014.

TRAIN STORY

With a hint to the popular Disney “Toy Story” the name suggests an interesting / fun place to visit with an appeal to a key audience, families. ‘Train Story’ suggests there is something to learn and understand about trains. To our visitors trains are locomotives, carriages, wagons and the complete train.  There is also a hint to the words 'train store'.

Our challenge now is to refer to the facility as “Train Story”!!
