Once again the Isle of Wight Steam Railway is proud to present its annual Island Steam Show - the premier steam event on the Isle of Wight. This year we will have First Class Fare of Traction Engines and Steam Lorries, an exciting display of classic and vintage cars, commercial vehicles and motorcycles, Real Ale Festival plus much, much more. We are only thirty minutes from Portsmouth Harbour so check out the special Mainland combined ferry, train and Show ticket prices on this page! Special Deals from the Mainland - Only 30 minutes from Portsmouth Harbour!

Must be booked in advance to secure the discounted fare. From Portsmouth Harbour a short journey by Wightlink Fast Cat high speed Catamaran brings you to Ryde Pier Head. Go straight into the station and board the Island Line electric train for the 8 minute journey to Smallbrook Junction Station where your Steam Train waits to take you on a leisurely journey through the delightful Island countryside to Havenstreet Station and The Island Steam Show.

IWSR Train Service Information

An intensive, two-train service will operate on all four Show days. Trains to the show from Smallbrook Junction will operate via Wootton, passing non-stop through Havenstreet in the Down direction except where shown. Locomotives W8 'Freshwater' and WD192 'Waggoner' will be hauling the trains (subject to locmotive availability) made up of the Railway's fleet of Victorian and Edwardian carriages.

Departing Havenstreet for Smallbrook Jct at 0950, 10.20, then every 30 minutes until 17.20

Departing Smallbrook Jct. via Wootton (non-stop through Havenstreet in the Down direction) at 10.08, 10.38 then every 30 minutes until 16.08. Then 16.38 (calls at Havenstreet), 17.08 (calls at Havenstreet) and 17.36 (Havenstreet Only).

Departing Wootton at 10.34, 11.01, 11.31 then every 30 minutes until 16.31, 17.04, then 17.34 (Havenstreet only).
