THE 1940s EXPERIENCE
4th & 5th July
Silk stockings and liberated ladies!... inspired music and dance... Men in uniforms and spivs with goods to sell. Relive the 1940s, travel by steam train and discover what life was like with rationing, air raids and the Home Guard... Meet the family in their 1940s home, admire the fashions, music and dance of the era and see the 'French Resistance' as they take over Wootton Station!

FOLKSTATION
11th & 12th July
Music, song, dance and steam... FolkStation offers two days of timeless folk, blues and folk-rock set within the perfect arena of Havenstreet Station. Come along each day or book a pitch for your tent and stay all weekend to make sure you don't miss out on any of the fun. To complement your visit there will be a full service of steam trains throughout the weekend, plus Real Ale Bar and a wide range of food and refreshments.

THE ISLAND MOTOR SHOW (In conjunction with IW Motor Traders)
18th & 19th July
The perfect opportunity to see all the latest models from all the major manufacturers on display in one place! Take time out to browse around the cars on show, chat to the local motor dealers, and settle back for a relaxing steam train ride while you decide which new car to buy!!

DAY OUT WITH THOMAS
24th - 28th July
Peep! Peep! Thomas the Tank Engine rolls into Havenstreet Station for five fun-filled days.
Children, parents, and grandparents are invited to enter the magical world of Thomas & Friends at The Isle of Wight Steam Railway!
Take a ride behind a steam train, meet 'Sir Topham Hatt' and Mrs Kyndley, and enjoy a host of fun-filled activities with Thomas, the 'Troublesome Trucks,' Mavis the diesel engine and Trevor the traction engine, Take part in a treasure hunt and enjoy Punch & Judy and Magic shows, and the children can let off steam on the bouncy castles and take a ride on a bumpy bus!
To complete your great day out there's picnic areas and plenty of food and drink!
A Day Out With Thomas ... This really is a packed day out for all the family!

VICTORIAN WEEKEND
8th - 9th August
Rediscover a forgotten world with ladies in bustle gowns, Victorian maids, pearly kings and even Sherlock Holmes; plus Punch and Judy, and Victorian stalls offering a wealth of treasures ... And performing in authentic Victorian costume, Fiona Harrison will take you down 'memory lane' with nostalgic music from the era.
A living, breathing historical experience …

JAGUAR CAR RALLY
16th August
Jaguar - An iconic brand!
See superb examples of this British motoring marque from the past 40 years all on display in one place! A must for all car enthusiasts!

THE 35th ISLAND STEAM SHOW
28th - 31st August
'Expect the Unexpected' at our action-packed show and great family day out!
There's bundles of fun with Bob Hogg and his sheepdogs as they herd geese, ducks and even Paxo the Chicken! ...
Cheer as the Medieval Knights of the Crusade prove that the age of Chivalry is far from over - And boo at the villainous Black Knight!
Climb aboard the traditional fairground rides ... And marvel at the beautifully maintained traction engines, vintage cars, motorcycles and old wagons.
With steam train rides, stalls, country crafts, refreshments, and even a Red Indian encampment, the Island Steam Show will make your August Bank Holiday a weekend to remember!

MORRIS MINOR RALLY
6th September
The first car to sell a million! The 'Moggy Minor' is fondly remembered and is still a much-loved car.
See a host of these old classics at the annual Morris Minor Rally at Havenstreet Station.

MODEL RAILWAY EXHIBITION
12th & 13th September
A steam train here, a diesel there, and a mainline express charging through the station! The excitement and the charm of railways in miniature for all to see ... and then a chance to ride on the real thing!!

WINE FESTIVAL
26th & 27th September
Whether you have a 'nose' for fine wines or just enjoy quaffing a favoured tipple, our wine festival will be a treat for your olfactory receptors and taste-buds!
Now established as an annual event, our Wine Festival offers a selection of wines from around the World to taste and purchase; plus there's a selection from closer to home, including the Isle of Wight

WIZARD WEEK
October Half Term Sunday - Friday 25th-30th
It may spooky ... It might be scary ... But you'll have a Wizard time!
Marvel at the magic shows, explore the enchanting Woodland Walk, enjoy a warm and relaxing steam train ride ...
But are you brave enough to meet the bats?!
Dress-up as wizards, witches and other spooky characters - there's prizes each day for the best costumes - and enter our Halloween colouring competition. It's Halloween fun for all the family during Autumn Half-term week.

SANTA SPECIALS
5th, 6th, 12th, 13th, 19th, 20th, 21st, 22nd, 23rd & 24th December.

A visit to Santa at the Isle of Wight Steam Railway is a very special day out for all the family. Stroll through our stunning Winter Wonderland before meeting Santa in his grotto where a quality gift awaits every child. Take a relaxing ride on our steam trains, and enjoy a wealth of free entertainment. Plus there's seasonal fayre in our station buffet and restaurant and a shop packed with Christmas gift ideas!

We are Only 45 minutes from Portsmouth Harbour!

For Mainland visitors, travelling to us from Portsmouth Harbour could not be easier! The short crossing by WIGHTlink high speed catamaran to Ryde Pier Head and the Island Line electric train journey to Smallbrook Junction, the cross-platform interchange station with the Isle of Wight Steam Railway, only takes about 45 minutes! Available for many events, money saving pre-booked through tickets from Portsmouth Harbour (available from us) include the ferry, electric train, unlimited travel by Isle of Wight Steam Railway trains and admission to the event.
