MUTUAL IMPROVEMENT CLASS - 15th NOVEMBER 2007

The first of a series of Mutual Improvement Classes for IWSR enginemen and operating staff will be held in the Calbourne Room, Granny Winter's Pantry at Havenstreet Station on the evening of Thursday 15th November starting at 7.30pm.

The session is entitled 'Locomotive Firing' and will be led by the IWSR Chief Mechanical Engineer Len Pullinger. It's intended audience is enginemen and operating staff who wish to further their knowledge of the steam locomotive and it's operation.

The class is open to all interested IWSR volunteers and staff, particularly those who are considering a career on the footplate! This will be the first of what is intended to be a number of classes covering various aspects of railway and locomotive operation on the Isle of Wight Steam Railway.
