May Queen Crowned at Havenstreet Station

The Isle of Wight Steam Railway played it's part in Havenstreet village life on Monday, 3rd of May 2004 when the annual crowning of the May Queen took place in the grounds of Havenstreet Station. The May Queen's procession made it's way through the village headed by the Vectis Corps of Drums. On arrival at the station seven-year old Georgia Batchelor was crowned as this years May Queen. A shower of rain did nothing to dampen the enthusiasm of the large crowd of villagers that followed the procession.
