The 33rd Island Summer Steam Show, held at Havenstreet over the August Bank Holiday was enjoyed by huge crowds on what proved to be one of the sunniest weekends of an otherwise dismal summer. The spectacular extravaganza featured steam engines, veteran and vintage cars and motorcycles, historic commercial vehicles, a traditional fairground, Real Ale Festival and much more besides.

A set of vintage Chair-O-Planes brought added excitement to the traditional fairground.
