Standard Day Travel Tickets
Below you can purchase a Standard Day Travel Ticket! This is an open ticket allowing you to choose which day you would like to visit. The ticket must be used within the calendar year in which it is purchased. The Ticket allows travel on any scheduled running day, but excluding some Special Event days when fares may differ. Tickets for these Special Events are also available from this Online Shop. Please check our Fares, Timetable and our Special Events pages for full details of opening times, fares and Special Events.
Full journey return tickets generally allow unlimited travel on one day only (subject always to availability) but not on 'Fish & Chip trains' on Tuesday and Thursday evenings in August, or for other evening events for which special tickets are required. Charges may be revised at any time and will vary for special trains and events. Please note that a separate Dog Ticket will be required for any dog travelling with you on the train.
Please Note: We recommend that all tickets purchased online are bought at least seven days prior to the date you wish to visit the IW Steam Railway, and we will always endeavour to dispatch tickets to you promptly by post. Tickets can only be sent to the cardholder’s registered billing address. However, if you wish to travel within the next seven days, and for customers who book from outside of the UK, your tickets will be held for collection on the day from the Railway ticket office at Havenstreet Station during Railway opening times, as we cannot guarantee that tickets posted will reach you in time. (We regret that you will not be able to collect pre-booked tickets from Smallbrook Junction or Wootton Stations, and must be collected from Havenstreet Station ticket office only).
Tickets for Infants (aged 0-4 years) are Free, but subject to a maximum of two infants per fare paying adult. Otherwise they are charged at Child (5-15 years) rate. Please note that a separate Dog Ticket will be required for any dog travelling with you on the train.
Tickets are sold on the understanding that they are non-refundable. Refunds and/or alterations requested to confirmed bookings and/or tickets for Special Events will be made at the discretion of The Isle of Wight Steam Railway and will be subject to an administration charge of £2 per person. In any event, travel tickets, event tickets and vouchers must be returned and received by us at Havenstreet Station by no less than 48 hours prior to the specified date.
