Take an interesting stroll around Havenstreet Station, enjoy a trip on a steam train between Havenstreet, Ashey and Smallbrook, and see the restoration work being carried out in the carriage and wagon workshop.

It is expected that steam locomotive No. 192 ‘Waggoner’ and diesel locomotive D2059 will be in operation, so take the train for a relaxing trip through the Island's early springtime countryside - You could even hop off at Ashey for a short walk in the country. During the day a demonstration goods train will operate around Havenstreet Station.

Enjoy morning coffee, lunch or afternoon tea in the Refreshment Rooms; bag a bargain from our special Half-term Railway Shop; and watch the kids let off steam in the adventure playground. Plus (weather permitting) take a stroll through our Woodland Walk.

IW Railway DVDs will be showing all day, plus there’s a selection of second-hand books, DVDs and videos to have a rummage through.

A great opportunity to discover and enjoy Havenstreet Station and to take a ride through the early Spring-time countryside with a choice of steam-hauled or diesel-hauled trains! New Facilities

Construction work is currently underway on new station buildings at Smallbrook Junction and Wootton Stations. Presented as traditional railway structures, they will provide enhanced visitor waiting facilities, new ticket and information offices, and new toilets. Wootton Station will also benefit from an extended platform.

Please Note: In view of this work, trains will not be running to Wootton Station during February. The train service will operate on the Havenstreet-Ashey-Smallbrook section of our line only.

All work is being managed on the Island by Natural Enterprise. It has been generously funded through the Rural Development Programme for England LEADER fund, and through kind donations from IW Steam Railway members and supporters.
