Car Parking, Toilets & On-Site Facilities

Car Parking

Visiting the Isle of Wight Steam Railway by car is easy! Our large FREE car park by Havenstreet Station provides plenty of space for cars and coaches, plus plenty of disabled parking bays.

The main car park provides easy and fairly level access to the station.

On busier days, such as when Special Events are running, we have a larger, overflow car parking area.

Alternatively you may join the train at Wootton where we have another, although smaller, FREE car park.

There is no vehicular access or parking at Ashey or Smallbrook stations.

Toilets

There are toilet facilities available at three of our stations.

At Havenstreet Station, the original Station Building houses Ladies and Gents toilets. Although they have been modernised, these are in the same locations as the original toilets which were in use during Southern Railway days. There are of course also toilets located in the Railway Refreshment Rooms and these include an accessible toliet. There is also an accessible toilet just off the Station Yard area, near the entrance to the works yard and loco coaling stage. this is accessed via shallow ramp just to the right of the former Gas Retort House.

There are additional toilets available for Special Events in the Events field behind the Station Building.

Wootton Station is a typical country station, and is not served by mains drainage. Thus, there is are simple portable toilets located at the rear of the platform near the ticket office.

Smallbrook Junction also does not have mains drainage, so again a simple portable toilet is available.

There are no toilet facilities at Ashey Station.
